Cilahc℠ Technology

Flame Proof

Using leading edge materials and construction the flame proof properties offer a new level of protection to wearers of Cilahc℠ products. Unlike current materials the Cilahc℠ products do not snag burning debris that can continue to burn to through the material to the user. Additionally the material has a Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) between 28-38 meaning that it won’t support flame in oxygen rich environments.

Vapour Transfer

The structure of the Cilahc℠ material allows water vapour in the form of sweat to escape relatively unimpeded. As there is no membrane layer, the chances of steam burns are also reduced. This can occur when a saturated functional membrane layer is exposed to high temperature/high pressure blast that drives the moisture within the membrane back toward the wearers body.

Water Repellant

The outer surface of the material is treated to repel water. A low surface tension finish means water beads and rolls off the material without wetting it out. Critical for user comfort.

Solar & Thermal Protection

High levels of sunlight mean dark materials heat up very quickly and lead to increased sweating and user discomfort. Our Cilahc℠ products avoid this by using a treatment that not only reflects solar UV radiation thereby avoiding heat build up in the textile. This treatment also offers significant sun protection against skin damaging UV in the region of SPF30.
